We were up at 6am this morning!

Twas a quick get dressed and out the door to the airport. Checked bag and through security with no problems. Got a breakfast burrito with tons of problems…but we got it eventually 😂

Flight was smooth. I slept for most of it, which was great, because by the time we landed, I felt a little more normal. Felt totally normals once we got some food. Then we took a nap.

Headed up to see Scott’s house (which is so freaking cute!!) after naps, and then we all headed out to the wedding venue to get in a rehearsal. Rehearsal actually made me feel less nervous about officiating the wedding. I’ll be fine. Gonna write some stuff out tomorrow in the same notebook that I wrote my vows in for when Liz and I got married.

Then we went to their favorite place to take people for food from out of town: Noho’s, which is a Hawaiian place. Drinks were good. Convo was great. Food was good. And the night was perfect. Temp, lightest of breezes, clear…it was perfect.

I really love Portland. I really do. Reminds me so much of home. But better. Humboldt isn’t as charming any more. But Portland is. Portland is thriving. There was a time when Humboldt was thriving and growing. It was like that when I was kid. It’s not any more.

I love my brother so much. I love Addie, his fiancé so much. And I love my family, and I love Addie’s family. Liz and I were talking about how awesome it was to go to the bachelor/bachelorette party earlier this summer and actually get to hang out with them and see how cool and amazing they all are. It makes this wedding all that much more enjoyable. We know each other now. We know we’ll have fun together. It makes me excited to be bringing these to houses together.

Happy to be up here. Family is amazing.
