It never fails; I always have at least one good idea before bed.
This writing before sleep thing is staaaaarting to kick in. I’m on a streak right now that’s very satisfying. And by “writing,” I mean on my current work in progress. Not the blog. Obviously THAT streak has been going for awhile 😂
Almost six years. Jesus! I had to double check that just now. It will be six years on…the 29th, I think?
Today, let’s see…got up and took care of the pups just in time to go and meet with J. It’d been over a month and I didn’t have NEARLY as much written as I wanted to have written to show him…but it didn’t matter. I’d figured out the scene that I couldn’t figure out. And we went over that and the Red Robert scenes I’d sent, and I can’t wait to rewrite them. Genuinely. Can’t wait. This scene with Barry in particular is going to be wonderful.
Then, I went to work and got there on time! That was a relief. Usually, on days that I’m chatting with J, I get there a little late. Not today. Traffic was light.
Work was great. I listened to the first two Leftfield albums today for the first time. They’re SO GOOD. Don’t know why I never listened to those guys before.
Writing in the afternoon was fine. I wrote a scene that needs to be scrapped and rewritten. Cest la vie. It’ll get better.
Came home. Watched a little baseball. Ate some food and chatted with Jamie about AV club stuff. Helped panda with her callback tomorrow and her table read in the AM. So freaking proud of you, bear, by the way. Working again. Like a boss. A badass. Love you!
Played a little switch, both Mario World (my grandpa Hank’s favorite game of all time) and some Mario Deluxe, which is the latest game. I beat Bowser a couple weeks ago, so right now, it’s going through and getting all the coins. That’s honestly the hardest part, and most fun.
Now…sleep.
