I have all my best ideas eventually.

That’s the phrase that just came to my mind as I was wrapping up my writing session for the night time. I finished collecting notes and rewrite thoughts for my editor so I’m ready to go when we meet tomorrow morning. I’m not a writer who has his best ideas in the first draft. It takes me a while. I have to build up to them. But they always come eventually, and I know that they the best ideas because I can feel it in my gut.

At least the best I’m capable of 😛

Work today was busy. Tired because of podcasting last night, which means a late one for me. But, I still did my work. Not in the routine that I usually do–I also had to walk the dogs this morning, and I will tomorrow, too–but I did actually do the work. That’s huge.

Oh! And I don’t know if I mentioned it here…maybe I did…but in case I didn’t: I’ve worked on my creative writing now every day for over a month. I cannot tell you how huge that is for me, and how much momentum I get from that. Not a single missed day. And I don’t dread doing my sessions any longer. I look forward to them.

It’s progress.

One step at a time, I’m going in the right direction. I’ll get there…

Eventually.
