Coco has chronic bowel issues.
She’s had them for a while now, since March of last year, we realized today, but recently they’ve been a lot worse. Especially the last couple days. Lots of blood.
So, we took her into the ER today to expedite the process of getting her an ultrasound. The good news is that there’s nothing obviously wrong going on down there. The bad news is that there’s still no obvious reason for why she has diarrhea and/or vomiting every week to two weeks, no matter what diet we have her on.
We’re going to have a follow up in two weeks with an actual internist. They specialize in diagnosing and treating this kind of thing. So…Coco, help is on the way. In the meantime, we have some meds we can give her to calm everything down and let her eat like normal till then.
Poor baby.
She’s otherwise healthy. Happy and alert. Healthy appetite. Just the Coco.
She woke me up three times in the night last night to go outside for an emergency poop and throw-up sesh. Well, throw up once. But poop three times. And then twice today she had bloody stools. She’s definitely having a rough go. But…the meds are hopefully helping by now.
We’ll see.

Ps – Parasite won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film, Best Director, and…BEST PICTURE tonight. It’s the first time in history that the Academy has selected a non-English language film for Best Picture. Well-deserved.
