Today.

Today I felt like I had a reset day. Finally. I got to recharge today. Fully. The batteries have been re-filled.

I went to the Hobby store today and I got the odds and ends that I need to actually get started. Things like pipettes to suck up paint for thinning, so I can the spurt them into a plastic cup and mix it. Then splurt it back up and into my airbrush, or onto a palette for hand brushing. I got all that stuff today.

And I finished assembling my little paint and tool racks for the work bench. They look so good! I’m so happy with them. So, so happy. My little work place makes me so happy to look at. Looking forward—and nervous—to using it.

I’m looking forward to my work week. I have a lot I want to get done. I want to see if I can finish this section of the story this week. Might be a full book unto itself, might just be the springboard for the rest of the book. But this section, this has been the hardest. It’s been what I’ve struggled with the most, and I think I have made some significant steps closer to actually executing what’s been a beast of a story.

Many lessons are being learned right now for me a storyteller. First and foremost is that a story can surprise me, take a turn I didn’t expect, and that can be a challenge to figure out. But, I’m hoping that the lesson in the end is that it’s worthwhile to do so. It’s worthwhile to wrestle with those stories, because something really special lies on the other side.

Feeling my melatonin kicking in. Time for sleep.

Night 😉 Hope you had a great weekend!
