The three month struggle to get our new bed is finally over. I’m lying in it right now.

West Elm has really cool stuff. Love it. But if it’s not something they say they can ship immediately, be prepared to wait for it way, waaaaay longer than they say it will take. When we bought the bed, they said two weeks. It took 12.

The new mattress seems to be really nice, too, I think. It’s squishy, way squishier than our last mattress, but I dig it. I’ve always liked my mattresses to be nice and soft. Hopefully it works well for Liz.

The dogs LOVE the new bed. They have so much room! I’m happy, too, that our top fuzzy blanket covers the top of the bed. It protects our duvet cover from the dirty pups, and it’s also super soft so they love it. Coco is up on a pillow next to me because the bed has so much space. I looooove it. It feels like a hotel bed 😂

It’s high, too, so we bought a ramp for the dogs to use. Don’t want them jumping on and off this thing and hurting themselves.

So…I don’t know if I’ve talked much yet about Coronavirus on my blog, but the concern level in the US is rising rather dramatically. Trump announced today that there would be no travel allowed to and from Europe for the next month. The NBA announced that it’s suspending the current season indefinitely, and Tom Hanks and his wife were diagnosed with it.

Shit is getting real. As predicted. It’s going to have some pretty major consequences, I think. Spoke to my mom. Urged her to stay isolated as much as possible. She’s with her mother and aunt Diane right now. She retired on Monday from her job at Stanford ICU over the virus. She was going to wait till May, but this forced her to do it early.

Blech.

And I start a new job on Monday.

It’s intense out there, y’all.

Time for sleep.
