Oooohhhh hohoho here it is. The LAST DAY I was missing. That’s pretty incredible you guys…I went from October 28, 2013 to April 11, 2020 — over six years — without missing a single post. And then I went the next three-plus years and only missed three more, only one of them for unfathomable reasons. The others were all travel days where something likely just never posted, and/or time zone changes made it look to me like I was on count, but I wasn’t.
Let’s see…April 11, 2020. I think I might have been sick with COVID. Or just recovering. We don’t know for sure it was COVID; testing for healthy chaps like myself wasn’t available yet. But, we’re pretty sure I got it. One of the very first in LA, if true.
Yeah…so going back and looking at the entries I made for the two dates on either side of this day, a Friday and a Sunday, I was better from being sick, and I was OBSESSING about getting the DJ controller. Oh, man, I had such anxiety over that purchase, but damn. I’m so glad I got it. I still use it. Writing this entry on September 25, 2023, by the way, having just completed my audit of my entries over the last almost-ten years of writing this blog. Getting the count right. This one does it. Woot.
Looking at my photos from this day, I’m pretty sure we watched Onward, the Pixar movie about the elf wizard guy, kinda DnD-ish, going on a quest. I remember it wasn’t great. I also took photos of the pups on this day, on the bed, 360s of them for sculpting and making art of them. Oh, Coco. I miss you babe. You were so cute during this little photo sesh. Perfect hair. You’d just had it cut a couple weeks before, I think. It was nice and perfect and floof.
A normal day, I think. A Saturday at the beginning of lockdown. Early lockdown. Wow.
