I had an up and down day today.
It started a bit down. I was sitting in my office realizing that I hadn’t sent off this thing I bought and was returning yet, and it was really stressing me out.
I had this vendor ship me something that was supposed to be brand new, but it arrived with packing tape over where the factory seal was…or was supposed to be, and when I removed the packing tape, I could see it was actually an open box, AND taking the tape off damaged the box in the process…so that’s why I was returning it, and I just don’t want them to try and bullshit me about it. SO…I took a video of everything before I sent it off. Hopefully that covers me.
I think at worst they’d charge a restocking fee, which would be bullshit…but at the end of the day, the truly valuable stuff is all still inside the box, so it shouldn’t be the end of the world, even if they do try to mess with me about it. We’ll see.
So, that was a not-great way to start my day writing-wise…but then work was good, and the end of my day was great. We got to do a drive-by Happy Birthday both for Mira, who Liz has babysat since she was 2 (she turned 11! today), and for Chris, Ashley’s husband (Liz worked with Ashley on Merry Happy Whatever).
That was truly wonderful. Wonderful to be in the car together, we took the pups, to see and talk to other people…all of it. Then we got home and walked the pups, then ate because we were STARVING by that point, and now…it’s time for bed.
I was going to DJ for a little bit, explore some new songs, but Beatport was down for whatever reason. I just checked and they’re back up already, but whatevs. They weren’t up when I needed them to be!
Going to bed early/on time tonight.
Wish me luck tomorrow. I think I’m going to end this week out with a bang!
