I’m listening to a draft of a set that I’m putting together to play live and record at some point. I mean…I guess I just did play it live and record it, but it’s just a draft at this point. It was the first time I played it through from beginning to end, and it needs work. It starts great, but it ramps up too quickly, and the last third or so needs some editing, tracks removed, tracks added, etc.
It’s going to be dope, though.
Trance. I love trance. It’s epic. Melodic. It bangs. Good stuff. There’s always good trance being written out there. I doubt that will change for a very long time.
Work was scattered today, but I handled my business. Scattered in the sense that I had a lot of projects going on, which wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but that’s what I do 😛 That’s kind of my specialty, actually. I still almost got done what my goal was on my main project, even though I had a little less than half the day to work on it. That was a relief. Main project is going a bit faster than I was anticipating.
Podcasted with Josh tonight and it was dope. We spent most of our time just catching up, actually, which was awesome. Miss seeing that dude face to face. Discussion was great. It was about how to handle the intimidation that can come from learning from the masters, or more accurately, the comparisons that inevitably come up with our own work. Very relevant for a podcast about watching the AFI’s Top 100 Films ever made 😛
Tomorrow, more of the same, but this time, I’m going to bed almost exactly on time 😛 Needed a nap today to make it through the late afternoon because I went to bed too late last night. It was worth it, though 🙂
