I did a thing. I did a thing!
We got the green screen I ordered like two months ago in finally. It’s dope. It’s just a sheet, really, in a bright green color. And I set it up next to the DJ setup, and I played some Star Trek (Spock’s Brain, as a matter of fact) in the background using the green screen while I played.
It. Was. DOPE. Easily one of the best ideas I’ve had in a long time. I love it. It’s so cool. I think it was all the people using Zoom backgrounds that gave me the idea.
If I ever stream my sets with the video on the green screen, I’m going to call it “SciFi Salad,” because it’ll be a mix of the music and various SciFi clips and movies and shows.
Liz had the great idea to get short filmmakers to send their stuff and play that. I think it’s a great idea. That would avoid copyright issues. But, honestly, this is just for fun. If I have to keep it just for me, so be it.
It was really, really cool.
I should ask Josh if I can play his film on there… 🤨
Work was great today. New projects coming in. I was tired, though. Long week. GREAT week, but long.
