Back in the groove, writing-wise.
Man…that’s a good name for a book on writing: Writing Wise. Damn. Gonna have to remember that.
Anywho: the editing/planning is back to feeling hand-in-glove. Took a few days, but I’m digging it. Reading what I’ve written, making notes and identifying component parts. Taking it all apart, so to speak, so I can put it together even better.
Work was good. I haven’t been crazy productive in that regard this week, but I’ve been steady, and that’s enough. I’m still on track to deliver everything I need to, I think, and I know there’s a little wiggle room if things pile up or take a bit longer than I expect.
Working out has been great. I feel strong. First time in a very, very long time. I know I have a long way to go—I’m not even half way—but I can definitely feel the accumulated effects of having exercised regularly for almost six months. It’s the longest, by far, I’ve ever exercised consistently. I’m up to 112 pushups and sit-ups. I do a set of 50, 42, and 20 for the pushups, and today I did a plank for 112 seconds. Almost two minutes! Tomorrow’s an off day. Those are still my favorite 😂
Podcasted with Josh. If the golf place we like to go to is open, we’re going to go golfing on Friday. We’ll wear masks and stay apart from each other, but that will be fun. It’s supposed to be a little cooler on Friday, too, which will be awesome.
Life is good right now. Feeling happy and confident. It’s been a good week amidst all this chaos and uncertainty. Hopefully these protests result in meaningful change. Hopefully.
