My first scene is close. Really, really close. And I just had some ideas in my nighttime writing session on how to make things even more simple. Looking forward to writing tomorrow to get there.

No music today. That’s the tell! I suspected as much. My workload today was quite a bit bigger than normal, and that squeezed out my afternoon writing and playing music. Alas.

But, it was a great session this morning, I finished the scene (version 3), and I have a mind tonight on the next step. Simplicity. It’s getting shorter and shorter with each round, more precise, better conflict. Sigh. I just need to keep going.

A’s lost to the Angels 10-9. That’s rough. We were up 9-4 at one point. But our bullpen was shaky. They were due, to be fair. But, Manaea was our starter tonight, and he couldn’t pitch past the 3rd inning, giving up 4 runs in the process. That’s a killer right there. Usually. I really wanted a 10-game winning streak. But, whatever. Let’s go out there and win tomorrow. I think we have Fiers pitching.

I’m bushed. Beat.

It’s sleepy time. Oof. What a day.

Night!
