A relievingly normal day. I got work done. I got to watch a little old basketball. Gonna miss Klay this season. He was so good. He probably won’t ever be that good again. Not with two major leg injuries. I hope that’s not true, but I couldn’t help but think that watching those old games from a year and a half ago.

It’s hard to stay on top. Nobody ever does for very long. The competition is just so relentless. I definitely didn’t take those Warrior years for granted…except that I suppose I did. We all do. I held out hope that the dominance would last longer than it likely will. There are still good years left, to be sure, and if they manage to reach the top of the mountain again, it will certainly be the sweetest victory they’ve ever had. Michael Jordan went through that. But, he was MJ. And he never blew out both of his legs.

We’ll see.

My iPad is dying. I have FOUR PERCENT left, so I’m going to wrap it up here. Plug it in.

Writing was good today in the sense that I did it. I did the “write the bad version” thing today to get myself unstuck. It worked. Grateful for that technique. Next is polishing the turd. Making it work. Or, throwing it out if it just doesn’t.

Night!
