Today was kind of “second Christmas” because today was the day I FaceTimed with my family and we all opened each other’s gifts. To cut down on cost, since the family is already large, and has grown, we do a Secret Santa gift exchange. I got Lena this year, and she nailed it. Got me exactly what I wanted. Thanks, Lena 🙂 And everyone else’s gifts came on time, so everyone was able to open them up!
It was so nice to see everyone. I miss my family. It’s been a very, very weird Christmas. Not bad. Not at all, actually. It’s been an absolutely insanely lovely christmas. But…odd. I haven’t been able to see anyone. We’re not up north. Everything is different.
Watched the Niners beat the Cardinals. That was unexpected! I honestly thought we’d get crushed. The Cardinals have really had our number the past several years. But, not today. The Defense was magnificent, and the offense didn’t have a thousand turnovers, and that was enough to win the game. Praise be.
Tonight, we finished our amazing Christmas dinner leftovers and watched Soul, which wasn’t perfect, but was absolutely lovely. A really amazing message. Stunning animation, truly. And such an incredibly original setting and design, it really was quite breathtaking. Inside Out was the last film that was this original. Really wonderful. I recommend it.
And now…time for sleep. Gonna read for a bit, I think. I definitely want to read more. I’ve fallen off on that the past several months just because of how busy it’s been…but I want to get back to it. And I’m SO EXCITED to ride my bike. Helmet comes on Wednesday. Can’t wait.
