Today, a great vacuum formed on Twitter as a voice was swallowed up forever. Donald Trump received a lifetime ban from the platform. And finally, blessedly, there was silence.

I rejoiced. Removing a toxic person’s platform can work. It has countless times. I hope it does in this case. The world will be better to never hear from Trump again. I hope it stays this way.

Not all viewpoints deserve attention. Not all people should have a platform given to them. It’s irresponsible. It’s DANGEROUS. And it was the danger that finally drove Twitter (and Facebook) to do the right thing. It’s happened far, far far far far too late…but at least it’s finally happened.

Steph dropped 38 on the Clippers tonight and our bench was absolute 🔥 and we beat them by 10 after being down 22 late in the 3rd quarter. Easily the best win I’ve seen the Warriors have in almost two years. I was hyped.

Work was hard today. It was hard THIS WEEK. For most of the bullshit, the day to day angst, I need to tune out for my own sanity. But, not for the big stuff. Not for the election (holy SHIT that happened EARLIER THIS GODDAMN WEEK), not for insurrection, and not for the chaos that is following and will continue to follow. For that, I must tune in. And the tuning in hurt my work…but it’s okay. I still got enough done. I wrote this morning, and it was good.

Now…sleep. And to having a nice weekend with Liz. We’re going to work on some project stuff.

Night.
