The wind has blown out of town, apparently.
Just went out with the pups for nighttime pee, and it was dead calm out there. It continued to be windy all day today. Even during the night walk. But, not any more. It’s alllll quiet out there. It’s so weird how wind comes and goes like that. These pockets of air that are all about moving quickly, blowing this way and that, swirling, knocking shit over. And then they’re gone.
Liz and I spent the day together. We slept in, then we went on a little adventure together out to get this amazing Passionfruit honey tea that she’s only been able to find at this one Korean grocer out in La Canada. That was super fun. Also got some delicious Korean treats to monch on. Came home, fed pups, took a nice long nap…and then we walked the dogs together and plopped down on the couch to finish the Hotel Cecil documentary we’d started yesterday on Elisa Lam.
Very sad story. Not without it’s fascinating twists and turns. But…not a great documentary. They gave WAY too much time and consideration to an online community that ran wild with conspiracy theories and nearly destroyed at least one completely innocent bystander’s life. That shit plays very acutely right now in the age of capitol insurrections and Trumpists.
But, we enjoyed the watch, nonetheless. Did laundry. Just wrote each other cards. Liz is finishing up yoga right now, and we’ll exchange them in bed.
I love you, bear! More every year. Truly. I am so incredibly lucky to have you in my life. Happy Valentine’s Day 😘
