Persistence wins the day, my friends. More than anything, persistence wins.
It’s not everything. Definitely not. The definition of madness is doing something the same way over and over and expecting a different result. So, it is certainly more than just persistence. But, what I’m saying is that persistence matters the most. It’s what most of us fail to give something we want or need.
I try to be persistent. I don’t always succeed, but I do sometimes. Those are my breakthroughs. And oh are those so sweet.
I didn’t have a breakthrough today 😛 But, nevertheless, persistence is on my mind. A gentle tap tap of my brain to keep going. It’s what matters the most.
I had a pretty chill day. Thank lord. I really, reeaaalllyyy needed one. Might have a similar one tomorrow, but we’ll see. I am, at the very least, going to get up on time.
Still adjusting to my new wake up time of 7am, for sure. But…I can do it. I CAN do it. Just need to be persistent with it until it becomes habit. Oof, and habit is that fire, too. My workouts are habit, now. I’m up to 195 push-ups and sit-ups daily. Tomorrow will be 196. I’ll hit 200 by Saturday. A milestone. And, it’s put me in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life. I definitely have a ways to go with my body overall, but starting with my core has really made a difference for me. I feel so much stronger. Stable. I don’t have any back pain. It’s amazing.
A good day, today.
Night.
