It was another week this week of not really having a rhythm.
The byproduct of an “unconventional” week is invariably a certain amount of anxiety for me, a background radiation of feeling out of control. That said…
This was a really solid week! I got a crapload of stuff done that I’d needed to do for weeks—if not months—because things were so insanely busy at work I never had a moment to breathe. This week, I got that moment. I needed it.
LA business tax filings, accountant stuff, emails and questions for other people in regards to the project Liz and I are working on, podcasts, organizing…really, a ton of stuff done.
Not a lot of writing, but the pieces I did get here and there were great.
Man…and sleepiness just hit me like a ton of bricks. It is time to conk out.
Our PS5 came today. Not really time to set it up since we were due over at Madhuri and Joe’s, but I can confirm it’s here, it turns on, and it is very large and pretty. Excited to use it 🙂
But the REASON we were heading over to Joe and Madhuri’s was because Ashika was born on this day one year ago. My goddaughter. She’s one year old. And, she doesn’t like hanging out with strangers—I’m afraid I still fit into that category given that I hardly ever get to see here—but…today Ashika decided that I was okay. We got along like gangbusters. Nothing like making a baby laugh, I’ll tell you that much.
so…Ashika my love…happy birthday.
I cannot believe you’re 1
