Finished my story grid re-certification project today. Sent it in. What a relief.
See, I originally thought I had till the end of the month to finish it. That’s where I was mentally, where I was in terms of scheduling out the rest of the work…and then a week and a half ago or two weeks ago I looked at the original email and instructions and my eyes bugged out.
March 15.
Not the end of March. Ooops.
Luuuuccckkily…I’d been working on it sporadically since it was assigned, and I was well into the work already. Still a ton to go, which is what I’ve worked on so much over the past couple weeks, but I wasn’t leaving everything to the last minute. And today is the 13th. I turned it in two days early.
Very glad it’s done. I did enjoy it quite a bit, though. Some of it was tedious, certainly, but some of it—particularly the macro analyses—was really, really good stuff. It actually made me appreciate the novel even more.
I read and analyzed Neuromancer by William Gibson. It’s great. Not perfect, but a definite recommend. One of the more exciting novels I’ve read in a very, very long time.
Anywho. Tomorrow is daylight savings time. The transition is booooo, but the actual shift in time is yaaaaay. More daylight at the end of the day. I love that. Love it.
Night!
