Today was surprisingly busy for a lazy day.
Got up to play tennis with Reed, and that felt SUPER early because of the time change. Okay, so here’s the thing with daylight savings time: I love it. Don’t get me wrong, I haaaate transitioning into it, like this morning. Holy hole is that painful. And right now, it’s bed time, I should be exhausted and ready to conk out if I want to sleep enough to get up on time, but it’s actually an hour early based on my bio clock! I’m not tired!
Yes.
All that sucks. But ACTUAL daylight savings time? Where the sun goes down a full hour later according to the clock? Hell yes. Give me daylight hours after work time. It’s the sun going down so “early” in normal time that really depresses me. There’s no time to do anything.
I wish we were on daylight savings time all the time.
Anyway. Tennis. Reed. It was a blast. Missed it so much. Then I came home and did therapy, and then ate lunch/breakfast (went and got donuts!) while the Warriors and the A’s both played on television. The Warriors won! And over the Jazz, who have the best record in basketball and absolutely DEMOLISHED us the last time we played them. Seriously, they made us look like a G League team the first time we played.
Not so today. The Dubs had a fire in them. It was dope. The best win of the season. And James Wiseman was great! All the young players did well, in fact. They were a major reason we won. It was really, really dope to see. I hope it encourages them. You can FEEL it when you get a win like that, the kind of effort it takes to lock in and be elite. I know they won’t have that with consistency just like that, with the flip of a switch…but damn, it was dope just to see that it was THERE.
Then I took a nice long nap. Walked the pups. Ate some food, and then did a marathon of an audition with Liz. She killed it. So proud of her. Genuinely killed it.
And now, all the sudden, it’s supposed to be time to sleep.
Wish me luck 🙂
