Got my hands in the dirt today.
I used to hate that as a kid. Gardening. It just seems like endless chaos to me. Now that I’m older, I think it was just my parents’ style of gardening: no borders, sporadically done when things got really out of control, which they did a lot because there’s so much rich soil and rain up in Humboldt.
It was a nice activity. I enjoyed it immensely. Only did it for about two hours, but it was two hours well-spent. Going to try and do it again tomorrow, I think, but we’ll see.
Shoulder is feeling better! Thank lord. And the physical activity doesn’t seem to have adversely affected it, which is an even bigger relief. As much as I enjoyed not doing my workouts this past week, I missed them, too. Going to try easing back in tomorrow, see how it reacts. Hopefully, it all goes well.
We watched some fun stuff on ye olde TV today, too. Nomadland was our first nominated movie watch of the season. It was really, really good. I loved it. Francis McDormand is so wonderful. And the story was well-done as well.
Did laundry. Woke up on time, stayed up for an hour, then went back to bed. Wanted to make sure I got my rest today. I think I did. We’ll see. Still adjusting to waking up so early, for sure. Had a great therapy sesh.
And finally…got the word from the guy I’m co-writing my next book with that the outline is in good shape. The word is “go.”
Go, I shall.
Night.
