The second day/week/whatever is always the hardest, in my experience. You’re tired on the second day. The rush of the first day is gone, and the reality of what new thing you’ve decided to do sets in: it’s going to be a lot of hard work.

I still crushed it today. Well, maybe not crushed…but I did my shit. And yes, I was tired.

I get the phrase “youth is wasted on the young.” See…I knew it was going to be harder today than it was yesterday. It didn’t phase me because of that. I expected it, rolled with it, and let all that resistance just slip right past me.

Continue to love watching Batman The Animated Series during my lunches. Liz watched the episode with me today, too, kinda, while she did work over at the dining room table (which is right behind our couch). She remembered it. Vividly, from when she watched it as a kid. I hadn’t seen it before. It was great. A Poison Ivy episode, where she’s turning people to hurt the environment into trees.

Rocked the client work. Rocked the Netflix work, and got myself lined up for another project next week. Got to watch the A’s beat the Red Sox, and most improbably, the Warriors beat the Suns. Dubs are going on a run here at the very end of the season for the first time this year. About time. Also gives me hope they might actually be good again next year.

Oh…and my meditation plus dj sets set up thing this morning…was sublime. Amazing. Incredible. A stroke of genius. I put that on, and I know it will take me through my entire writing session, beginning to end. I don’t have to think, look at the clock, nothing. Just let it play. It’s a game-changer, honestly, and I LOVE putting them together. Love love love. It’s marrying two things I love doing, and I really can take off when I figure out how to do that.

Night.
