I really love podcasting.

I’ve been doing it for over ten years, now, off and on. For the past five years, it’s been almost every week. That’s pretty crazy, actually, to think about.

Josh and I are entering into the top 20 of the AFI list. That’s also pretty crazy to think about. We’re still almost a half year away from finishing—with one more side quest to take with the original star wars trilogy to watch—but it feels close, now. It’s within reach. Pretty nuts. 100 films. It will take us three full years when we finally finish just in time for Christmas.

It’s so nice, though, to end the week with a recording session. Crack a beer with my best friend. Break down some story. Share some laughs. And then crawl into bed afterwards and get a nice long sleep in.

I didn’t write like crazy today. In fact, I only wrote for an hour. I had a ton of Netflix work to get done. But, I still wrote six pages today. And I’m going to make up some extra pages over the weekend, I think. I should hit about 40 for the week, which is pretty crazy. I can go for 50 next week. That would have been a pipe dream such a short time ago. I’m officially in a groove, I think. Feeling less insecure about the story. Just kind of writing it, now, seeing where it takes me. Which is odd to say, since I have a very detailed outline I’m following…but only to a certain degree. The scenes don’t come alive until I actually write them, and things change quite often. It’s a hard process to explain, but it’s mine.

It was a good week, kids. The project moves along. So does the writing. And work. And the podcasting. I also have client work to catch up on…

It’s all quite exhausting.

So. Sleep. Night night.
