Today was better!

Not the badass day I wanted…but better. I’m reminded today that I need to outline before I can write. And I need to walk before I can run. I really WANT to just get running again…but first must come walking. So, today I walked. I outlined. Tomorrow, I’ll do some more walking, I’ll just get my pages done. And the day after that. And the day after that…and then, when I’ve done several days of just getting my pages done, THEN if I feel like I can do more, I can try to do more.

Scale it back.

That means getting a good night’s sleep. Which I’m on track for. I also did some stuff in the afternoon that I’d been putting off for a good long while. That helped. My office feels more organized. I have food. I have a plan.

Still need to go grocery shopping tomorrow. Getting up on time will be hard tomorrow, too, regardless of getting to bed on time. But, I’m saying right here: I will get up on time. It’s happening. And I will write my two hours in the morning, with an extra session in the evening to get those goddamn pages done. And I will repeat that through the week and into the weekend, and then commit to the same next week…and then this book will be done.

DONE.
