I’m home. And outside sleeping in a trailer! It’s very, very appropriate because my teenage bedroom was actually outside in an old airstream.
I loved it, to be clear. I loved having my own space out there. I had a double desk, one on each side of the trailer, and I could roll back and forth between them. Computer on one, and I’d do my homework on the other. The only thing about the trailer bedroom that was a bummer was that it had no insulation and the heater would go out when…it got too cold. That ENTIRELY defeats the purpose of a heater.
We flew a 757 into Arcata airport. I’ve never done that before.
I remember jets used to come in and out of there when I was a kid, but for my entire adult life it’s only been twin prop planes servicing that airport. When we deplaned, there was a United jet there, too. Makes me think that travel up to Humboldt has been picking up.
Trip was easy. Got food. Hung with the fam in their patio. The house looks SO MUCH BETTER landscaping-wise now that my mom is retired and has more time to work on stuff. It’s really turned out very nice, all of the projects she’s worked on.
Anywho…I am beat. Time for the sleep.
