Storytelling is hard, yo.
Ted Lasso is a fun show. We’ve enjoyed much of season two, but man…they are MISSING on some stuff, and none more so, perhaps, than the character who is probably my favorite. Not even probably. He is. Or was.
“Was,” because they’re ruining him. And not in a fun, tragic, put him low in order to bring him back high kind of way. Ruining him in a way that makes me cringe, and dislike the writers that decided to do this. It’s bad. And mean. And it’s really changing the way I feel about the show.
Which…it’s not like there’s not some empathy for me there. I know this is hard. It’s just hard to watch. It’s not fun.
Not a super productive weekend from me. Still feeling a bit burned out from the past week, to be honest, and this coming week is going to be crazy busy, too…but I want to start it all off right by going to bed on time, so here I am.
Wish me luck. Night night.
