Still searching for the groove…but getting there.
I wrote today. Outlined a scene. Which is far, far less than I *can* get done in a writing day…but still. It was a start. What I really need to do is a rough sketch out of the next set of events, and then fill those in with a little more detail.
My outline is going to end up being around 20-25k words, I think. Which is crazy. That’s an entire Act 1. But…I think it’s going to help me write the book. I know it helped on the last one, and I had the same thing, essentially, for my first book, too. It’s what I was missing when trying to write EfRT.
Such a relief to know that. I know my process more, now. I can see where I went off track with that book. Makes me feel a little more confident that I won’t fall into such a trap again. I mean, we’ll see what happens, but I don’t think it will.
Work was great today, too. I kinda caught up yesterday and today. I even had time to get in some extra side stuff done, like edit some podcast stuff and dream about how I want to arrange my office. Going to try and get it a little more set up tomorrow. Wish me LUCK with that.
Night bitches.
