Day 3 of the writestravaganza. Thirty pages in. Things are going well. They should, because openings are rather easy.
You know…I’m not concerned about it at all, actually. Lol. Genuinely. I figured out most of the potholes in my outline. I’ve done this a few times, now. I know that—for the most part—I’m set up really well to just crank through this story.
That isn’t to say stuff won’t come up. It definitely will. It’ll test me, for sure. Every single book has. But…I got through it for those books before, and I’ll get through it on this one. I’m not worried about it. Very statisfying place to be.
Work has unexpectedly ramped up. I was busy af today. And tired. Practically exhausted all day. I took a very brief nap, and that got me through to the end, pages included, but I was tiiiiired. And busy. An adjustment period, I think. It takes it out of me right now to write for 3+ hours a day all the sudden. But, again; not worried. It feels normal. I’ll adjust. Or just take as many naps as I need to.
The pretty cat came around tonight for dinner. That was a first. We’ve been leaving food outside, trying to get her to come and eat, but been only sporadically successful to this point; all down to finding the right location, and the right time of day/evening. Well, today it all came together! There she was on top of the fence, not running away at the first sight of me, and I went in and got some food for her, rattled it and made some kitty noises, and then put it down for her and scooted back inside. She jumped right down off the fence and ate the meal. She even stayed around for a good hour-hour and a half afterwards just hanging out in the backyard.
Mwahahahahaaa. She will be mine. And she is *so* *pretty*. Persian coloring. Gorgeous blue eyes. Very small. She looked so sweet curled up and eating the food I put out.
Gonna try the same thing tomorrow night, see if she shows up.
Night night.
