I saw a movie in a theater. For the first time since spring of 2020. That’s…crazy. More crazy how long it’s been than going to see one.
The occasion? Our friend Kiel Murray wrote a movie called Luck, and it was goddamn adorable. Apple TV+ next week. So freaking PROUD OF HER. And it was the legit premier. All the actors, producers and directors there. Rented out a whole theater and then a parking lot across the street for like a carnival of games and food and drink…all at 11am on a Saturday, because it’s a kids movie. Hell yes!
So good to see those two. Phil and Kiel. And their oldest, Eden, is a giant now. When we first met her, she was, like, just starting elementary school. It’s weird to be that old, now.
Hung out a bit with Kerr-bear before she left. Took a nap. Worked on this week’s podcast for a bit, then did weeding, and then Liz and watched The Firm on a whim for dinner. Decent movie. Great premise. So…not spectacular execution, but it worked well enough. We enjoyed it. No classic, which is a shame, but it worked.
Night night.
