Luke Daniels, one of the preeminent audiobook narrators in the SciFi space with credits including Marko Kloos’ blockbuster Terms of Enlistment series and classics suck as Phillip K. Dick, has signed on to narrate the Glory audiobooks, which are forthcoming from Podium Publishing.
That second bit is also news, I suppose! 😛 Craig approached Podium at the most recent 20Books Vegas trade show and conference, and they jumped at the chance to pick the series up and produce the audiobooks.
To say that Craig and I are please, on both counts, is an understatement. The series is a bit of an experiment for the both of us; we’ve released a book a year at this point. That’s a first for me in the sense that it’s my first REAL series that has regular releases (looking at you, Starstuff, which I *swear* I will pick back up and finish soon), and it’s a first for Craig in that he’s never released a series quite this slowly.
It’s been a success! A slow burn, for sure, but there were several months last year when just Glory Book 1 was his top performing title. Of course, for me it’s been by far my best-performing book ever…because it’s only my second release, lol.
Book 2 is off to a good start, following in Book 1’s steady footsteps. It should cross the 100-review threshold just in time for our first promotion in February, where we’ll discount book 1; I think the audiobooks might be ready around that time, too.
They’re long books! We should get really nice audiobook length from them. I’m excited to hear what Luke Daniels does with them, and excited to get them into the hands of our readers/listeners.
Huzzah!
