The countdown to symptoms has begun, I suppose. I got both my flu and covid vaccine/booster today. About four hours ago. I think I’m due for a fever in about two-to-four hours if it’s like it was the first couple times I got the covid jab. We’ll see. Maybe this time I’ll feel nothing! Hope so. But, even if I do end up getting like achy and a fever, no biggie. It goes away super quick.
Coco has taken to peeing whenever we leave her alone in the house. I think it’s a separation anxiety thing. Sigh. That’s definitely our fault. We’ve changed our behavior ever since this latest injury; been more attentive, more gentle and walking on eggshells, etc. So, she’s more nervous. Sigh. I’m sorry about that babes. I just worry about you because you ARE getting older. It’s not a continence thing, because she never does it when either me or Liz is around. It’s only ever when she’s by herself.
Oh! I had to beesssttttt Napa Cab tonight. Holy shit. Like, so good I can still taste it. And I wasn’t necessarily expecting it to be great, so I don’t think it’s just my brain expecting it to be delicious. It blew me away. These last two bottles I’ve opened up from the Wine Spies case I slowly gathered over months of purchasing a bottle at a time…well, damn. They’ve been excellent. Probably the best two bottles of wine I’ve ever had. Back to back. First one from the case was so-so. Little meh. These last two: legendary. At least to my…extremely undeveloped tastes.
Nugget is letting me pet her more. It’s still only when I’m feeding them, and especially when Jeff is around and the two of them are rubbing up against each other, but she’s legit enjoying it when I do. Like, she leaned into it with her head this morning, purring and everything. She was just standing right in front of me, paws doing their happy little tap dance, and leaning into me petting her like a normal cat. Not a stray, or feral, or wild. Just like…my cat. She’s so sweet.
Anyway…gonna read for a bit. Liz is still over at Kristen’s. So glad they’re getting some time to hang together. Josh…looking forward to hanging with you, bud. Hope you had nice holidays.
Time for sleep and reading. Night night!
