You know what’s really, really frustrating? Like, REALLY frustrating? That professional sports don’t allow you to purchase full games, and I mean, like, purchase so that you can watch them whenever you want, for all time. Like, I want to sit down years later and WATCH, in full, like it actually happened back in the day, the greatest games of the teams I love.
It’s wild, but you literally can’t do that. Crazy, right? I mean, I’d pay to be able to do it, too. Even rent that shit. Fine, give me 48 hours to watch the damn thing, but LET ME WATCH THE TEAM I LOVE PLAY AN AMAZING GAME IN REAL TIME. No highlight reels, no waiting for absolutely completely random times on cable fucking television that nobody ever actually watches because it’s so impossible to find or keep track of…just let me watch my team when I want.
The technology is there. Fuck, MLB could let you rent the 1973 World Series and watch it from beginning to end if they wanted to. They have the fucking tapes. They just won’t. If it’s a residuals thing to the players, negotiate that shit. Time is a flat circle. It means nothing anymore…let me go back to those memories and re-live them. It’s not hard.
Ugh.
Such a random rant, I know, ha! It’s just something that’s bugged me for a while.
I had an ENTIRE day with Ashika today. We, my god…we did so much stuff. We put puzzles together, we ran around with Joy, we took Cooper on a walk, we at snacks and food together, we watched an episode of Spirit Rangers, we played Sesame Street, we pretended to make pasta and soup, we tried and failed to nap…it was a busy, busy day and this amateur ass is wiped the fuck out.
Night night.
