Can I finish this sprint to the finish? I don’t know. But it’s already a win, y’all, because it means I’ll be close enough. Close enough to get cracking on this book when we return from a couple weeks off. And that’s a win. A corner—hopefully the corner—has been turned on this next book.
It’s fun. Will it be as good as the first one or the last one? I don’t know. But, I’m excited about it. Lots of fun sequences. Big finish. Still working on the character arcs, but I think it all has to do with ghosts. Just realized that right now. Everyone is dealing with a ghost of some kind. Not exactly literally, but the kind that come from the past to reappear in our lives.
A really, really solid day of writing. The first one of the year, honestly. A relief.
