Twas one last day in Paris today. We did SO MUCH. Presents. Food. Carrying home clothes for JJ. We’re all sweaty in bed right now because we just spent the last hour packing. Weight limits are TRICKY. We’re leaving two bottles of wine at the hotel room. Sigh. They just won’t fit. They put us over the weight limit. Good thing it’s the two bottles that we got for free from one of the wineries that we visited. Not like it was a purchase and I have to leave it behind.

Dinner tonight was amazing. One of my favorite meals we’ve had. This place called Derrière. So. Good. And their cocktails were amazing, too. I had my first Aperol spritz (apparently so much better than how they are in the US, which is just Aperol and soda—these use prosecco, which works really well with the bitter of the Aperol), and then shared a Pimm’s Cup with Bear. And the DESSERT. So good.

I got myself a new neck pillow for the plane flight home. We were able to each upgrade our seats to something with extra leg room. THANK GOD on that last bit, because fuuuuck me the flight over was cramped leg-room-wise. It was miserable.

We’re up at 4:30 to catch our ride. Chances are that we’ll be massively early at the airport, BUT…a strike is happening starting tomorrow (Tuesday), and I just have the feeling the everyone is going to be trying to get out of town, so it just might be crazy. I hope not. I’d love to sail through and sit down, eat some breakfast, and take a snooze before boarding.

We’ll see.

Night night.
