I love, truly, that Joy has a bedtime. She has ever since she was a pup. Round about ten o’clock, it is sleep time. Joy bot shutdown. If Liz and I are making a late night of it watching something, she’s on the couch, but otherwise she’s in bed, up between our pillows where she sleeps, passed the eff out. It’s so cute and so cozy.
It was cool enough tonight for us to open up the sliding doors and run the fan to get our bedroom down to the temp we like. LOVE THAT. The weather should be cooling down here, finally. Hopefully the hot stuff is gone, not to return until late spring, but we’ll see. I feel like this is usually when things cool down, but that might just be optimistic thinking. October is definitely one of my least favorite months weather-wise, because it’s clearly fall, but it stays freaking HOT. And it has. It was up to like 95/96 this week. We’ll seeeee…
In Snacks news: he’s becoming such a little (big!) cuddle bug. He, like, exploded out of the bushes today, afternoon time, all sleepy-eyed, meowing, and just wanted pats. For like, fifteen minutes. He heard me coming out of my office and just wanted to snug with me. How awesome is that?! I took video of it. He loves me. We’re bonding. He knows that I just want to love him, which is great. He’s totally socializing hardcore into just being a people cat, which warms my heart. And it’s pretty cool, given I didn’t even get to meet him until he was like six or seven months old. He was totally wild before that.
Got my computer set up with a remote desktop app, too, which is awesome because if I have something, like, uploading or rendering in my office, but I’m in the house, I can go and check on it and control my computer with my other computer. SO COOL. It meant paying for the app, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve been pining for that ability for a while, and I can clearly see where it’d be worth it.
Other than that…still quite exhausted from the vaccines, I think. Thrown off my energy levels, and my tummy a bit, too. Or, maybe I got motion sick playing the first bits of Horizon: Zero Dawn. That’s possible, too, but I was sweaty and nauseous for a spell this afternoon. Blech. And I needed two naps. Ready for that shit to be over.
Night night.
