I love movies. So much. And I always have. My family has, actually; I got it from my mom.
When I was little, before school, my mom’s Fridays must have been Monday, because every Monday was a “Figueiredo’s” night, which was the local video rental spot. They rented VCRs in addition to tapes, which was good, because VCRs were insanely expensive and we didn’t have one. I remember, distinctly, absolutely losing my mind with excitement and impatience as she got it hooked up to our TV. Like, I couldn’t stand the anticipation. It KILLED me to wait for her to do that so I could watch the tape I’d rented. I must have been three or four.
My favorite movie was Robin Hood. I almost always chose it. And I remember a little later I really loved renting Star Trek IV, the one with the whales. Good memories.
Podcasted with Josh tonight. Another Hitchcock film in the bank. He’s not great with comedy, that’s for sure, but we actually got a female character this time around who really shined. She was GREAT in the film. Didn’t come together quite perfectly in the end, but that’s okay. It’s still so obviously the early days with Hitch. Learned a lot. Great discussion.
Time for sleep. Night night 🙂
