The writing wasn’t consistent this week. Another zero day today, but largely for reasons beyond my control. Sigh. It happens! It was a rather busy day today. Not exactly a busy week, which is frustrating, since I like to take advantage of slower weeks work-wise to really dial in my writing, but that didn’t happen either.
I must flush it. Let it go. Focus on the coming week. Nailing that down. I can do it. I’m close! Close to finishing these two rough outlines in exactly the time I wanted to. I can still recover. I’m still within striking distance. And I’m excited about the story decisions I’ve made thus far. It’s good shit.
I got all my Netflix work done, everything in on time that I needed to. That wasn’t too hard, thankfully. Helped Liz with a rather difficult audition. Took a nap. Took care of the pups. Watched a legitimately spectacular documentary called The Last Workshop, which is about the people that repair student instruments for LAUSD. It’s going to win an Oscar. And it’s going to make you cry when you watch it. It’s soooo goooood. These stories about how much music means to these people. Run, don’t walk.
Joy is really killing it lately in the cute department. Like, she gives me kisses every time I pick her up. HOW SWEET IS THAT. She melts in my arms and gives me kisses. And she’s so silly and playful, too. Always wants to wrastle and play fetch. And then snuggle together on the couch. The couch is our special place. With all the dogs. Because we watch so much TV, lol. But, that’s where we snuggle with them. Spend so much time just next to each other. Coops has his spot on a laid-down pillow on the one side. Joy likes to be between Liz and I, or on her own pillow over on the other side. And that’s how we sit together on the couch.
I will say this about the month of January: I’ve been consistent with my exercise. Not the bike riding. Not that yet. I’ll get there. But with the push-ups/sit-ups and the yoga every day. I’m only a day behind schedule on the yoga, and that’s only because we had a crazy weekend a couple weeks back that I haven’t caught up from. Maybe this weekend. We’ll see. Month is almost over. Last week.
Crazy.
Night night.
