A normal day today. Got all my shit done; I even got work done in the front yard. The key, I’ve realized, is that I have to do that front yard work BEFORE we walk that dogs (which we do around 6/6:30)…because AFTER that walk, I am wiped. Wiped the eff out. But if I do them before…golden.
That won’t always be possible. Work has to cooperate and let me do my writing a little early, which it did today. That was nice. I very much enjoy a work day that’s busy, but not crazy. That was today.
Helped Liz with an audition. Ate dinner. I even managed to catch most of the Fever game. They almost won! Almost. Which was encouraging, given the team they were playing is one of the best in the League.
We’ve been watching Welcome to Wrexham for the past few days and guys: it…is…SO…GOOD. Sooooooo gooooood. These people. My lord. I want to hug all of them. They’re so vulnerable, like any true sports fan is. They so want their team to succeed, and they’ve had to endure so many years of failure, almost losing their club, etc. I empathize. I have a team that’s broken my heart; I, too, have waited a long long time for my team to succeed, and been so close to it only to have it slip away. That’s the life of any true sports fan, honestly. And I see that in all these people from Wrexham. It’s a GREAT show.
Anyway. Time for the sleeps. Today was a good day to get me back to my routine, and remind me what I can do. Night night.
