Joy just made the bed. And by that I mean dug away at the blankets like a mad person and then flopped down onto my arm with a big sigh. Coops right now is doing the same to the bench down at the foot of the bed. Dogs. They’re crazy!

A so-so day today. Lacked focus on the writing side, but then I kinda rallied and updated the finances for the two weeks where we travelled and hadn’t really kept track of things. I’d been putting that off. But, it’s done now. Whew. Not too bad. We did obviously over-spend because of the travel, but nothing we can’t recover from by being mindful over the next few weeks. We’ve been really, really good at that lately. I’m proud of us.

Work was slow, which helped the above. I got to take a nap in the late afternoon for about 20 minutes, which was clutch. Did yoga. Took care of the pups. No front yard work, but I’m going to make sure I get some in tomorrow. Lots of tiny little weeds to pull, so I’m going to get those before they get bigger and become a problem. At a certain point, I think, when it gets warmer, they’ll stop growing full-stop. But not yet.

In other plant news: there are so many plums in our little backyard tree! They’re all hard and green right now, but they’re getting much better sun exposure with the trimming I did and I have hopes they might taste a little better this year. I didn’t fertilize, so that might not be the case, but I’m going to fertilize this winter. Or, rather, look up what time(s) I should do it and do it then. I love plums. I’d love to be able to pick them and eat them from my own backyard. We’ll see.

Okay, time for bed. Night night kiddos.
