Joy does this thing while I’m writing my journal entries for the night where she goes down onto the floor for a while, sniffs around for a while, and then comes to my side of the bed on her hind legs, ears back, and kinda of prances to ask me to lift her back up. We call is “papa elevator.” It’s…very cute. THEN she always tries to stop me from typing to lick my face—also very cute—before finally giving up and curling up in between my legs where she’ll stay while I finish this entry, read a bit of my book, and then finally move her to the side of me for sleepy time. That’s our little routine together. I love it so much.

Coops, he’s easy. He curls up down at the bottom of the bed, between my feet, and he just stays there. He’s already asleep. I made a little blanket circle around him tonight. He loves it.

I was able to swap out a new monitor arm today for my work computer. It works! No more sinking down onto my desk and blocking my speaker. Truth be told, it was really the speaker part that was driving me nuts. I like my shit in stereo, you know? Of course you do 🙂

Took the opportunity to clean my office as well, which I hadn’t done big time in a couple months. Took everything out, sweated a lot, vacuumed and dusted and wiped down, and then put everything back in. Feels nice in there. Like a little reset. Ready to tackle the next project. Which is to say: I’m getting up on time tomorrow. Back to work. Gotta get this detailed outline DONE. Then a rough and detailed for the novella. I have three months to do it in. Let’s gooooooo.

Night night.
