Who are my current favorite people?

A devious question. I don’t want to leave anyone out! They’re not people, but Cooper and Joy come to mind immediately. Liz, of course. I spend the most time with her out of anyone, and I couldn’t be more fortunate to have such a wonderful partner to share my life with. We get along like gangbusters. We’re deep into our drywall repair/living room makeover at the moment, and it’s WAY more fun to work on it together than it is apart. A perfect example for me of why I’m so happy with who I married.

Josh is one of my favorite people. He’s probably the second-most person I spend time with, seeing as we podcast together once a week. We make each other laugh. We watch movies. We chat. It’s a good friendship.

My nibs come to mind. My parents. Liz’s family, and the Lundy’s. The latter has been such a pleasant surprise over the past year+, how much we truly love spending time with them and their kids.

The Kings. We’ve spent so much time together over the past couple years. Wolfie comes over and plays Switch with me. The girls tolerate my presence. Sunny treats me like family after staying at our house for a couple weeks. (Sunny is a dog).

Today, we saw Kristen and Arg for Arg’s birthday. We did Korean BBQ. Love those two, and Rory, their pup. Reed, though I don’t get to see him enough. Jo and their kids. Stephen and Thida and Tommen. They’re waaaayyy up at the top of the list. Probably our closest friends, actually. Kerry and Krys, even though I haven’t met the latter yet. And Nicole and Alex are waaaayyy up that list, too, a wonderful development that’s happened over the past couple years. And I can’t possibly not mention my kitties. Snacks, Silky, Bingo, Bruce, Nugget, and Chloe.

That’s the inner circle. My favorite people. They make my world turn.

It was drippy last night, and I don’t even think I wrote about it, I was so freaking exhausted. Wiped tonight, too. BUT! The painting is done. It looks sooooo good. Okay — painting not DONE done because we still have to do the dining room, but I was able to finish that and put the living room back together this evening which was massively satisfying. So much of my relax time is sitting on that couch enjoying our beautiful television and kickass sound system. Plus the DJ controller is set up over there now, so having that ALL out of commission was an ache in my heart. It’s done. Liz is moving on to put up the new shelves we got, which are white and match our color scheme. She’s got one up and it looks SO GOOD. Lots up caps tonight. But they’re all earned. We’ve wanted to swap out our old black bookshelves with white ones since we moved in, and finally doing it now is very, very exciting.

That was it. That was all I did today. Finish the painting, go have lunch with Arg for his birthday, and then put the living room back together. A working weekend. I’ll feel it by the end of this week for sure. Sigh. But, a long weekend. Looking forward to enjoying that!

Night night.
