Our last full day. Sigh. It’s been a good trip.
We went up to a spa today and got massages together. Afterwards, we both decided that getting massages is probably a great way to start a trip, at least in Hawaii, where everything is better the more you relax. The massages were great. Five stars. I needed it, too. My neck and back were pretty tight. Got some of it worked out. Not all, for sure, but some, which is still a victory.
Took a nap. Met up with the Lundy’s and watched the best sunset of the trip BY FAR go down. The clouds were just right. There is something special about Hawaii sunsets. Truly. We get some great ones on the California coast, no doubt…but somehow they are actually, quantifiably better in Hawaii. The colors, the lighting, the way the sun dips down into the ocean. Not sure exactly how that’s possible, but it is true.
Ate dinner at the house. Packed. Tomorrow…travel. And a little bit of hanging on the beach before we go.
