What is my favorite restaurant?
Ooo, tough question to answer in a food city like LA. I have several favorites, but for the sake of giving one, I’ll mention my most recent favorite restaurant meal experience: Anajak Thai in Sherman Oaks. Been there several times recently and it delivered each time. Taco night, in particular, was spectacular.
But…favorites that we keep going back to: Pho So 1, Uovo, Sugarfish, La Morra, Medici, In N Out, Lal Mirch, Porto’s…good lord there’s literally a dozen more than we love (All Day Baby, RIP, but Here’s Looking At You is still around!)…but these are the ones that came to mind.
Seriously, LA is one of the best food cities in the world. There is SO MUCH good food here. Money’s been tight lately, so we haven’t been eating out as much, but we’re working on that. Restaurants: we coming for you.

Long day. Got my pages done! That was a pleasant surprise, given it was like pulling teeth. Sigh. But I’m back at it tomorrow. Just a matter of rhythm, you know? I’ll get it.
Work was rather long, too, but because I had to go over the hill and get a drive offloading into archive storage. Have to go back tomorrow to pick it back up, but I’ll try to do that earlier in the day, avoid the traffic coming home. We’ll see! But, I got everything done.
And man was I exhausted from all that, but—…
Sorry, my dog was snoring and I had to take an audio recording of it. I do that. I record sounds on my phone, sounds that I love. Liz just called it an audio library, and I suppose that’s what it is. Memories, really. Audio can take me right back to a time and place. Almost better than video can. Maybe even better, I don’t know. At the very least, I think I like it more. The memory lives in my head a bit more, you know? In my imagination. Sounds I love of people and places I love.
Time for sleep. I think all I was going to say above was that I was exhausted but it was too late to take a nap, so I just doubled down on the exhaustion and went to Costco to pick up a bunch of stuff we needed. No eggs, sadly, just missed those, but perhaps tomorrow. I got everything else.
