Describe an encounter with a random stranger that I felt was positive.

It’s silly, but the dude next to us in the VIP area at the Swimming Paul concert was so nice. Vibing with the music, knew all the words, and gave us vodka shots with OJ to chase it. That’s certainly the most recent one. Super nice guy, just sharing the love, you know? We were all having a great time.

There’s been so many others. Strangers who’ve helped me, or others I’ve helped, or just passing exchanges of empathy, or humor. I’d say I’ve had far more positive random encounters than I have had negative ones.

Coops is okay. All his tests came back today, and he was negative for all of them. No Cushing’s. No kidney failure. Probably just this syndrome they don’t have an explanation for where his bone marrow now makes too many platelets in his old age. It doesn’t lead to anything else, and he’ll just need to take blood thinners from now on…but it shouldn’t impact his health, life expectancy, or quality of life from here on out. What a relief that was to hear. He’s my bud. My first dog that was really and truly mine. I don’t want anything to be wrong with him, and right now, there isn’t. At least there’s nothing we can’t very easily handle and keep under control. Good job, Coops.

Tommen is with us. Staying for the weekend. So nice to have that sweet boy. He’s already snoozing on the bed with me, lol. Right at home. Coops is curled up in his nighttime sweater on pink blanket down at the foot of Liz’s side of the bed, and Joy is smushed in between my legs. Liz is brushing her teeth in the bathroom watching TikTok. Life is good. So, so good.

Night night.
