What is my favorite holiday, and why?
Christmas. Always has been and always will be. What a magical time of year, right? Family. Baked goods. Pretty decorations. Its cold—and where I grew up: wet—so we all get cozy. There’s travel, and festivals, and parties, and we’re thinking about the year that’s gone by and spending time with our loved ones. It’s hard when we’ve lost loved ones, I know; I’ve been through that very personally…but I have found with time that it’s made me enjoy, savor the holiday even more
Christmas break when we were kids was just the BEST. The best. Those two weeks were heaven. My mom would make loads and loads of cookies, we’d watch movies and stay in our PJs all day, I’d always get a book or two that I really wanted to read and I’d go to my room and read, and then all the presents to have fun with afterwards. The best. Those were the days.
These days, I enjoy the travel. I enjoy seeing my family. I enjoy taking a break to end the year. A festive reset.
Love Christmas. It was only a few months ago, but it feels like much longer.

Aaaaahhhhhhh. Big sigh of contentment. I got my shit done today. Six pages. Like twas nothing. Outlining in the evening. My Shakespeare. AND got everything done for work, and people were super happy with it as well. A really, really good day. The only discordant note was that the Warriors played like crap and didn’t close the series against the Rockets. Onto Game 6, at home. I expect them to win that game. And I didn’t watch this one. It was during writing time, and I really needed to protect that today. Glad I did.
Night night.
