First of all, Happy Happy Birthday to the love of my life, Elizabeth Ho. I love you, Bear!

We spent the entire day together! I took off work, and we went and got delicious french pastries from a bakery in Pasadena called Oh La La (still deciding if that’s pronounced with an “oo” like the phrase we all know, or “oh” like it’s spelled). It was delicious! The kouign-amann especially (which is kind of like a caramelized-sugar version of a croissant).

Went to the Huntington after that and walked around obsessed with taking photos of ground covering plants and the mulches they used, lol. We’re working on our front yard, so it was very educational. Got lots of inspiration. And it was PACKED there. Absolutely no parking in the lot, so we drove to one of the nearby side streets. That place is becoming like its own version of garden disneyland. The gift shop was doooope, too. So much cool stuff in there.

Drove downtown to Santee Alley, which is this, like, open air marketplace in the fashion district where a bunch of import merchandise is sold. Liz was looking for clothes for her new Labubu, but nothing seemed like quite a good enough deal to pull the trigger. We went to Chinatown after that, but it was too late at that point. The place loses all its street parking at 4pm, so most everything closes then and it was only twenty minutes till 4 by the time we arrived. So, we called it quits and went to go pick up the pups, who stayed with Stephen for the day.

Came home. Took a nap. Walked the pups. Then walked to get a burrito and tacos at one of the other sidewalk taco stands close to ours house. Tacos were decent. Burrito was next fucking level. Good god. So delish. Had that with a new bottle of reisling I was trying out. Also delish. Definitely gonna go and get more of it when I have the chance. Now…sleep.

I didn’t watch the Warriors game, but we failed to close the series against the Rockets tonight in Chase. Means we go back out to Houston for a game 7, and we’ve lost the home court advantage we won by taking Game 1 of the series. Sigh. This team is good enough over and over to get most of the way there…but they do still have an issue with falling short when they don’t HAVE to win, but they SHOULD win. It’s going to bite us in the ass before it’s all over, I think. But we’ll see. Never count Steph out completely.

Night night.
