Have I ever broken a bone?

I…don’t think I have. I’ve certainly never had a cast, which when I was a kid, I was always jealous of. I don’t think I would have been jealous of the actual breaking of a bone and the last pain that follows…but the cast has always been and will always be objectively cool.

Home again. Wiped. We did so many activities over the weekend, and today was no exception. Helped the parents get the surround sound working. Went by 80 Quail Valley Road and mourned what has been done to it—they clear cut the entire property. There’s nothing left. It’s a wasteland. But…it was cathartic to see it, I guess. Closure. It’s horrible, but it’s done, and now I’ve seen it. I got a little emotional seeing it. But I needed to—we went from there by the old school, and then to Los Bagels…but they closed at 3 and we got there, no joke, at 3:02. Easy pivot from there, however, to Hey Juan! Burritos. They were good, but it’s under new ownership, so the menu and recipes have all been changed for the first time in 40 years. But it was still good. We went up to azalea park for a walk after that, and then went out to Trinidad and spent some time on the beach there at the wharf. We saw a mom and baby harbor seal! So cool. And then it was time to drop me off at the airport.

A very busy day.

And now I’m home. And happy to be home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM. Love you so much.

Night night.
