Done.
Glory 5 is written. I mean…pending revisions and editing…but the book is WRITTEN. Whew. Did it. Took me a week longer than planned, but that’s not bad, innit? In the grand scheme of things?
It’s a good book. Intense. Put them characters through a lot this time, but really really good arcs. Lotta swings, and I hit em all pretty damn good. This book was a level-up in some ways for me, particularly in that regard: aiming for a particular payoff and getting them there. I was really, really nervous about that going into this one. I knew just from the setup of this two-part story that I was going for some big things with this second book. So…very satisfying to have done those arcs justice. At least…I hope I did.
We’ll see.
That was it. That was my day. I wrote for almost seven hours today, which is WILD. I literally just had to look at the time tracking on my iPad and double-take. I had no idea. I was just focused on getting it done. And now it’s done.
