What’s my favorite time of day?

From 10am to noon. If I’m watching sports during that time, HEAVEN. Oh, I love it so much. Beyond that, just the time block itself is always my favorite, even when I’m working. That’s the time where all the business of the pre-morning has been done. I’ve written my pages, I’ve walked the dogs, and I’m eating breakfast, ready to start the rest of the day in good shape.

Next favorite? Oh, how I love taking a nap anywhere from about 2:30 to 4pm. In that window, there. LOVE IT. Napping is one of the great joys in life.

I love walking the pups in the evening. I love dinner time and watching TV time with Bear. I even love between 7am and 9am, now, which is wild because I am NOT a normally morning-person…but that’s my time for me, my time for my creativity, quiet, cool, before the rest of the world gets going, me and my keyboard. It is a fraught time, though, a fragile time, always in the verge of disaster. I have to be very diligent with that time. It takes a lot of effort. But I do still love it very, very much. That time is everything to me, really, which is why it’s so fragile.

I had a busy work day. New project. Clip pulls, which are always the most exhausting. But, I’m happy with what I pulled. Early returns on most of them are that the up-and-ups are happy, too.

Filled in the edge of the parking space. I didn’t get to go order the full gravel order, but I’ll be able to do that tomorrow. I’ve never done it before, so I’m nervous about it, but no matter. Gotta get done. I made my big list today, too, of all the stuff that needs to get done before having a bunch of people over for my birthday. I just thought of one thing I didn’t write down, gonna go add it right now.

Finished my audiobook today. It was…fine. Well-written, but not my favorite. It really matters to me whether or not I care for the characters, I’ve found. It’s requisite to me loving a story. This book was really interesting in everything BUT the characters. Well…not that the characters were boring, but I didn’t fall in love with in any of them, you know? I didn’t really care about what happened to any of them, main character included. So—well-written, but not my thing. I won’t be continuing the series.

Night night.
