Did some research tonight with Liz for my backyard movie night party. PIZZA! Very important research. We went to a couple candidates for the big order. They were both good! Both pretty equally matched when it came to flavor and quality, just different styles. And I think we have our winner, which is exciting. It’s pizza parlor-style, the kind we grew up on out here on the west coast, with arcade games in the back, sodas on tap, and those red candle-holders on the tables. The type of place you went to after little league season ended. It’s gonna be great.
Did more work outside, more work inside. Not a super productive day in either regard, but mostly because Coops had to go see the eye doc today and I was the only one who could take him. It was fine, though. I got wines on the way home, including a white that I wanted to try and see if it was viable — I think people will love it. Ordering some of it tomorrow and I’ll go pick it up.
The party comes closer. A week away! I only have a few days, now, to finish up all the work. Sigh. I’ll get it done. This is the final push. And then…a few days of glorious rest. And then back into the writing! Oh, I can’t wait. The writing a reading. A nice long stretch without travel or major events. It’s going to be glorious. I said that already, lol, but it will. So is my party. It’s gonna be so fun. So fun to have my brother come and visit, too. Very much looking forward to that.
Anyway…that’s my life at the moment. Prep prep prep. Push push push. I am tired…but also excited. It has been the perfect excuse to really press and get a bunch of stuff done that’s needed to get done for quite some time.
